So, Who Is Tita M Wanders?
Still Curious, Still Wandering. 🌸🐈
Hello, there!
I’m Tita M.
I’ve spent a good part of my life building things, solving problems, making decisions, and trying to figure out how things work. I even spent years in the corporate world, running a pioneering technology company.
And then life took a turn.
I retired. I started wandering more. I found myself looking at familiar places with new eyes, revisiting old memories, asking questions I hadn’t thought to ask before, and discovering that there is still so much to learn.
“Years ago, on a dusty road in Kabankalan, Negros Occidental, I met a man who was quietly preserving endemic rice seeds — work so important it eventually earned recognition from Norway. I didn’t have a camera then, but that encounter planted something in me. It showed me how local stories can hold global significance, and how people in small towns can do work that shapes the world.
That moment stayed with me. It nudged me toward the idea that the internet could be a bridge — a way for people like him to be seen, supported, and celebrated. I didn’t succeed in building that dream back then, but it sparked a lifelong love for websites, digital storytelling, and helping others find their voice online.“
Apparently, retirement doesn’t automatically make you sensible enough to stop collecting ideas.
So here I am, still curious, still wandering.
This Is Not Just About Travel
Of course, I love discovering places. But for me, wandering has never been only about getting somewhere.
Sometimes it’s a ferry ride that takes longer than expected. Sometimes it’s a quiet street, a neighbourhood eatery, a conversation with a stranger, or a place that reminds me of someone I once knew.
And sometimes, the most interesting journeys happen without leaving home.
This is where I collect those discoveries: stories about places, people, food, memories, life, and all the curious things that catch my attention along the way.
Not every journey needs to be extraordinary. Sometimes, it’s the ordinary things that stay with us.

A Little About Me
I’ve lived a few different chapters.
The corporate years taught me discipline, strategy, and how to get things done. Travel taught me to slow down, look around, and appreciate what I might otherwise miss. Writing gives me a way to make sense of the things I see, remember, and wonder about.
I’m also someone who enjoys trying new things, occasionally getting carried away by an idea, and discovering that the world is much bigger—and much more interesting—than any plan I could make for it.
I don’t always have the answers. I don’t pretend to know everything. And I certainly haven’t figured life out.
But I’m still willing to ask questions, learn something new, change my mind, and try again.
I think that’s a rather nice way to grow older.
Why Tita M?
I’ve never been particularly keen on being put into a box—or on the idea that a certain age means we should stop being curious about the world.
To my nieces and nephews, I’m Tita: someone who listens, shares stories, offers a little advice when asked, and occasionally spoils them.
So perhaps Tita M Wanders is simply an extension of that.
A place to share what I’ve discovered, what I’ve enjoyed, what surprised me, and sometimes what I’ve learned the hard way.
No need to be an expert. No need to have a perfect itinerary. No need to pretend every adventure is Instagram-worthy.
Just bring your curiosity.
Oh, and you might notice a certain cat making appearances around here. The cat has appointed itself my supervisor. I have yet to discover what qualifications were required for the position. 🐈
Come Wander With Me
Tita M Wanders is for anyone who believes there’s still something worth discovering, whether you’re twenty-five, sixty-five, or somewhere in between.
You might find a place you’d like to visit, a story that brings back a memory, an idea that makes you think, or simply a reminder that life doesn’t stop surprising us just because we’ve been around for a while.
You don’t have to travel far. You don’t have to spend a fortune. And you certainly don’t need to have everything figured out.
Sometimes, all you need is the willingness to look a little closer.
So, come along.
Let’s explore the neighbourhoods, follow the unexpected turns, revisit old memories, discover new possibilities, and see where our curiosity takes us.
Because the truth is, I don’t always know where the next journey will lead.
I don’t know. Let’s find out.
Still curious. Still wandering.
And one more thing…
You may observe I do not have solo shots. No perfect travel portraits.
These photos carry a different kind of truth.
But what I do have is something far more powerful:
lifelong friendships.
shared childhood histories.
women who grew up together.
women who now laugh together about being “wide on the hips and retired” 🤣
a trek that symbolizes freedom, transition, and joy.
